Synopsis:
November, 1978. Evening. Suburban Miami, Florida. Sixteen-year-old Wade--effeminate and studious-- sits in his family's showpiece living room, trying to finish a book report for school. His seventeen-year-old brother Chip shows up, a coke-snorting jock. Chip hits Wade up for some cash and takes off, leaving his possibly pregnant girlfriend Tammy behind. Wade never gets his homework done, but he learns a thing or two about himself from Tammy, and about compassion from Chip, when that fearless facade finally cracks.
